Automated Auditors, LLC is a small, woman-owned data-mining firm located in Northern Virginia, just south of Washington, DC. We specialize in Accounts Payable (A/P) recovery auditing, A/P fraud detection, insurance fraud detection, text mining, and statistical analysis. Our analysts use SAS software to develop solutions to the most complex data problems. We have developed a proprietary set of algorithms to identify A/P fraud and insurance fraud, and customize each suite to fit the client’s data, considering the nuances in each dataset. Among the most powerful algorithms Automated Auditors has authored is our manual link-analysis SAS program. Using this link analysis program, Automated Auditors was able to conduct a comprehensive vendor file maintenance audit for The World Bank, and link similar vendors together in “vendor families”. This type of link analysis can be critical in associating two entities that might not have otherwise been grouped together, and can be instrumental in crime prevention, fraud detection, and other correlation analyses.
Christine L. Warner, the owner of Automated Auditors, LLC, has a degree in Mathematics and a minor in Statistics (James Madison University, 1992), and has authored several articles on the subject of fraud detection using SAS software. In September of 2008, she received the non-member Author of the Year award from the Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors for her article “Accounts Payable Fraud: Ten Ways to Identify It”. Her most recent article was published in Fraud Magazine (September, 2010), and was titled “DEATH FRAUD: THIS IDENTITY THEFT IS ALIVE AND KICKING”. She has also spoken at several conferences, including SAS Users Groups conferences and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) conferences and meetings.
