Automated Auditors offers Tax ID / TIN / EIN validation services in batch mode for medium to large-sized files. Using our fuzzy matching software, we merge your vendor or supplier file (or other) with IRS records via the Tax ID, TIN, or EIN number. We then compare the information in your file with what is on record with the IRS; we compare names, addresses, emails, phone numbers, and contact information and determine the accuracy of the match. Most Tax ID validation services only provide a match / no match or pass / fail determination. Using advanced fuzzy matching technology, we can determine if the match is a good match if the names are only slightly different. Most matching services compare the entity name exactly to the IRS records; if the name is not exactly the same, it will reject it as a no-match. For example, “Automated Auditors” and “the Automated Auditors, LLC” may return a no-match using other validation software, even if the address is the same. However, for your matching purposes, you may want to consider the two names similar enough to call it a match.
In addition to Tax ID validation, we can import your Tax IDs and populate missing fields, such as name, address, phone number, contact name, and email address. By cross-referencing with Internal Revenue Service (IRS) records, we will return your file to you with the additional requested information.
